Tip 9: "Prempts in various seats"
Many moons ago I attended a lecture by Mike Lawrence and he spoke about preempting in different seats. He advocated making light preempts in 3rd seat as 4th seater was marked with a good hand and partner has passed already. In 2nd seat, however, be constructive as you have partner who hasn't bid yet and only one opponent left.
Maybe this person attended the same lecture?
Both rooms made 12 tricks by making 3 spade tricks.
TIP: Be careful to preempt when the majority of your points are outside your suit!
